Fox News analyst Liz Trotta, determined to take a dump all over any shred of dignity she was thinking about leaving in her legacy, has clarified what she said about military rape victims totally asking for it last week: she didn't mean to say that they were personally totally asking for it, just that women shouldn't be in combat at all because in a combat situation, men get super rapey and it isn't even their fault. But her clarification just makes her sound like more of a dick.
Last week, Trotta managed to simultaneously anger female veterans, rape victims, women, men who care about women, male veterans who don't appreciate being called rapists, and, oh, let's just say adorable, fluffy puppies when she said that women who fight alongside men shouldn't be surprised that they end up getting "raped too much." She also told Fox News anchor Eric Shawn that sexual assault victims' services were a waste of money, part of a feminist conspiracy that hinges on the belief that women can be warriors. Women shouldn't be allowed to fight, she reasons, because of rape.
