RuPaul has always been really great at product placement — his songs play throughout the show and brand-names are dropped often and effortlessly. And last night, the contestants on Drag Race had to create infomercials for RuPaul's album. Team Glamazon made an '80s themed clip, complete with neon colors, big hair, animal print and retro slang. Madame LaQueer, Kenya and Willam were standouts.
The infomercial that Team Champion created was a little all over the place. Sharon Needles is always fun to watch, though. I can't believe that it's taken me so long to realize that Sharon's name is a play on SHARING needles. Guest judge Natalie Cole made me realize the pun. I am embarrassed. Hep C!
The Princess and Dida Ritz had to lipsync for their lives, performing "This Will Be (An Everlasting Love)" in front of guest judges Natalie Cole and Amber Riley. Dida Ritz really went all out. Eye drag at its finest! Dida explained: "Natalie Cole was sitting right in front of me… I had to do it for her. I don't want her to leave saying that drag queen did a horrible job with my song."
