Bishops Still Sulking Over Birth Control CoverageKatie J.M. First, they're pissed that the plan includes a "nationwide mandate of insurance coverage of sterilization and contraception, including some abortifacients," causing "grave moral concern." They're also upset that the plan would require insurers to provide contraceptive coverage for free, meaning that self-insuring religious employers and religious employees would not be exempt from the mandate. These issues, the bishops said, are "unacceptable and must be corrected."
