On last night's edition of Kourtney And Kim Take New York, the marriage of Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries continued to implode before our very eyes. And for yet another episode in what's sure to be a season filled with tense arguments between the newlyweds, I couldn't look away. This week's kerfuffle? Bearing children, and where to raise them. Under normal circumstances, you might think that it wouldn't really be this big of a deal to decide upon the town to settle down in post-nuptials. But when you're a Kardashian who splits time between cities but "lives and dies in LA" and a free agent in the NBA who would rather live in rural Minnesota than anywhere else, things get a little more complex. And there are cameras involved! It's clear in the clip above that Kris isn't willing to compromise and goes so far to say, "Baby by the time you have kids and they're in school and all that, no one will probably care about you, let's be honest." Zing! Yes! More brutal honesty!
Kim later tells the camera crew, "I can't believe that Kris is expecting me to really like, slow down. I think that's one of the reasons that I fell in love with him was [that] he really supported my career." Right. So you married the guy because he supported your career of doing what, exactly? Having a great rear end? Worse, throughout last night's episode Kim went from being dead-set on the idea of having kids as soon as humanly possible — her birth control pack had run out, which Kim obviously saw as a "sign" — to deciding it was an awful idea (thanks to her BFF, La La). But before she came around to the idea of waiting awhile to pop out a few mini-Humphries, she alerted her Mom(ager) to the good news. And thus, Kris Jenner became the unlikely voice of reason for just one episode. Just think! If Kris hadn't been so against the idea of her daughter procreating with the man who bears her same name, the tabloids might be plastered with "Kim K: Pregnant and ALONE!" instead of Kourtney. But hell, I'm not counting that possibility out just yet.
