Comment Of The Day: Vogue's Holiday Gifts Are Only Fit For The Maid

Even with a $900,000 gift guide Vogue can't satisfy the fabulously rich and tasteless. awkwardturtle says:

Ugh Vogue is so behind. I got most of those things LAST year from mere acquaintances I met while yachting in the Mediterranean last winter. I re-gifted several to my servants as they clashed with the decor of my summer home. I'm sure my maid Consuela (or Maria? I can never remember her name) appreciated the bejeweled deer head. I don't even think they have deer in Mexico (or whatever other country she's from). Now I'm going to open an entire bottle of champagne to drink one glass with my pinky out and then have my servants pour the rest down the drain just to waste it. Cheers.

I like that they note that "Translucent is the fail-proof color" on the crystal dagger, because I can't imagine anything worse than giving a loved one the crystal dagger they've always wanted, but in the wrong color.
