Scarlett Johansson had a heart-to-heart with Cosmopolitan about what went wrong with Ryan Reynolds, and she's reached the same conclusion that pretty much every other person who has been married does: it's hard work.
I think I was not fully aware of the peaks and the valleys. I wasn't prepared to hunker down and do the work. Both of us were extremely busy. We spent so much time apart. It's very difficult. It's bad.
Despite all that, Scarlett doesn't regret their decision to enter into what turned out to only be a two-year marriage:
It seemed like a very romantic thing to do, and it was. It was the best thing that I ever did.
She sounds far more nostalgic than most recently divorced people. Maybe she's genuinely fine with how things turned out—or maybe she's trying to win Ryan back from the clutches of Blake Lively by subtly reminding him of what they once had. [E! Online]
