Most Americans Don't Spend Extra Daylight Saving Hour In Bed

Many of us make big plans for the hour we gain during the change back from daylight saving time, but in all liklihood you didn't overdose on riboflavin and attempt to time travel or even get another hour of sleep this morning. Researchers found that on average people only gain 12 minutes of sleep in the fall, while they lose 40 minutes when we go back to daylight saving time in the spring. This makes us all a little more sleep deprived and apt to snap at loved ones, so you can add daylight saving time to the list of ways government is quietly ruining our lives.
