Carla Bruni-Sarkozy, wife of French President Nicholas Sarkozy, has given birth to a baby girl, according to reports.
No word yet on what the couple has decided to name her. Bruni gave birth at around 7:30 pm local time in Paris. Her husband moseyed on into the hospital about 3 hours later, at 11 pm, as he'd been obligated to fly to Germany to participate in talks on the European debt crisis earlier in the day. The girl is the couple's first, although both have children from previous relationships.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, the couple had opted not to find out the baby's sex in advance.
Congrats to the little mademoiselle's family.
