We're not sure what we did to anger Hillary, but for some reason she's determined to ruin our liberal fantasies about her running for president in 2016, or even replacing Biden on the ticket in 2012. Previously she's said she'll step down as secretary of state at the end of Obama's current term, and in an interview today she said:
"I'm very privileged to have had the opportunity to serve my country ... I'm really old-fashioned. I feel I have made my contribution. I have done the best I can. But now I want to try some other things. I want to get back to writing and maybe some teaching, working on women and girls around the world ... I have made my contribution. I'm very grateful I have had the chance to serve, but I think it's time for others to step up."
Clinton can keep proclaiming that she's leaving politics soon, but we still don't believe it. After her long period of feigned indecision about running in '08, she's become the girl who cried "I'm not running for president."
