Project Runway premiered in December 2004, and since then, the show has introduced audiences to up and coming talent from around the country. Season 4 winner Christian Siriano is arguably the most successful contestant so far; since the finale in 2008, he's managed keep turning out beautiful creations and dress high-profile clients. Saturday afternoon, Siriano showed his Spring 2012 collection, and those looking for dresses with drama were not disappointed.
I was at the show, but I missed all the front-row madness. I think I am standing about five rows behind these folks: Sarah Hyland, Corinne Bailey-Rae, Monet Mazur, Heidi Klum and Joe Zee.
The daytime stuff was pretty, preppy, with a stripped-down color palette: Pink, green, coral, white and khaki.
The cigarette pants and the sheer robe thingy seemed sorta '60s.
The colors were more intense, more vivid that these photographs would have you believe.
The shirt with the ruffled sleeves and the flirty chartreuse dress on the right are sure to be celeb faves.
The neutral colors? I don't care much for. But.
The juicy brights? Love.
FYI: The shoes are Payless.
While the daytime stuff was cute, the gowns, ugh, the gowns! So pretty, dreamy, frothy and romantic.
Don't you think the breathtaking coral number on the right is perfect for Oscar night?
