Oprah sat down with Facebook's Sheryl Sandberg yesterday, and showed her trademark balance of accessibility and all-powerful confidence.
By saying, "I had no idea that being your authentic self could make me as rich as I've become. If I had, I'd have done it a lot earlier," she made her wealth and achievement sound like something anyone could do if they would only be their "authentic self."
And when she talked about the undeniable challenges of running her own network, she also sounded humble and down-to-earth:
"I feel that things sped up for me instead of slowing down," she said. "...It's a lot harder than I ever imagined." Turning to Sandberg, she said, "if anyone asks you if you want a network think about that."
Think about it, and then probably just do it, because you're Oprah.
