Peacock Escapes From NYC Zoo, Relocates To $24 Million Apartment

New York City zoos have been having trouble keeping track of their animals recently, but at least the latest escapee won't rile up anyone who's afraid of snakes.

A peacock who lives in an open-air aviary at the Central Park Zoo, and is thus free to come and go as he pleases, decided to perch on an apartment building across the street this morning. Residences in the the Fifth Avenue building were recently listed for $24 million, and as of 9 p.m., he's shown no interest in leaving his pricy new pad.
