The hotel maid allegedly assaulted by former IMF chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn was so traumatized by the events that during police questioning she was incoherent and nauseous, attempting to spit on the walls and floor of the hotel. She was able to calm down enough to clearly communicate after about an hour, after which authorities were able to apprehend Strauss-Kahn on an Air France flight minutes before it was set to depart.

Strauss-Kahn, whose mother must have studied at the Snidely Whiplash School of Villain Naming, has stepped down as head of the International Monetary Fund as a result of the incident.
