Giffords Cleared To Attend Shuttle Launch

Though it’s too early to predict Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ policial ambitions, there is another bit of encouraging news on her recovery today. Her husband, Mark Kelly, reports she’s been cleared to attend his shuttle launch on Friday. He says when she heard the news, “she said, ‘awesome’ and she pumped her fist.” He added, “Her personality’s a hundred percent there … You know, it’s difficult for her to walk. The communication skills are difficult, at this point.”
