The Inadvertent "Vagina" Vanity Plate

Australia’s Roads and Traffic Authority has backed down after sending lawyer Kristen Perry a letter demanding to know why her vanity plates say “vagina.” She was under the impression that they say “Kiki,” her childhood nickname, but discovered that’s a term for female genitals in the Filipino language of Tagalog. Authorities received a complaint about the plates, but they’ve decided to let Perry keep them.
