Last night, each queen was asked, "Why do you deserve to be crowned America's Next Drag Superstar?" Yara Sofia bluntly answered, "Because I'm broke." Manila Luzon was more eloquent, speaking about her loving and supportive family, and the desire to spread that encouragement. Raja became tearful as she sobbed, "I would love to leave a legacy for all the little boys who are teased, who are afraid, who don't know how to express themselves creatively yet… It's okay to say 'fuck you.'" Guys, I love Alexis Mateo, I think she has a really pure heart. And Manila is hilarious and campy — my favorite kind of drag queen. But I think RuPaul decided, long ago, that Raja should win. After all, Ru's big hit was called "Supermodel." She loves a fierce runway bitch. Raja has said some things I found mean-spirited, but she has been fairly consistent, resourceful, innovative and unique each week. The Carrie prombucket kind of sealed the deal. Anyway, we're down to the final three now. Who are you rooting for?
Aside: How fun was the musical number? La Toya Jackson had this "I should have thought of this ages ago!" look in her eyes.
