Today we learned more people watch Rebecca Black's music video on Fridays, but Marks-a-Lot says this has little to do with lookin' forward to the weekend:
The popularity of the song has little to do with the pop lyrics and more to do with the statements on the US's global posture vis-a-vis Middle East regimes.
"Kickin' in the front seat, kickin in the back seat...I got to make my mind up, which seat can I take."
That is some deep shit. I think it speaks to the US's policy of informally propping up dictatorial regimes in the Middle East and now being faced with the prospect of formally taking opposition to these regimes.
Heck, there is even a Black man driving the car. Obama anyone?
Kickin' in the back seat, kickin in the front seat….indeed madam, indeed.
