Listen To James Franco Cover Cher In Nixed Oscars Song

Yesterday James Franco Tweeted “they pulled this from the oscar show. damn it,” and linked to an audio clip of his horrible cover of Cher’s “You Haven’t Seen the Last of Me,” from Burlesque.

Many gossip sites are reporting that the song was “banned” from the Oscars, but according to E!, sources say the song was actually cut because Burlesque wasn’t nominated for anything.

Supposedly producers wanted Franco to sing the song while dressed as Cher, then have the real Cher come onstage and finish it herself. There’s no word on what Cher look Franco would have worn, but we’d like to think it was her “If I Could Turn Back Time” ensemble.
