Fashion Risks Paying Off

“A man awakens from a coma, only to discover that someone has taken on his identity and that no one, (not even his wife), believes him. With the help of a young woman, he sets out to prove who he is.” Hm. Dubious. But the good news? The Unknown premiere was awesome!

Let’s talk January Jones and her absolutely fab McQueen. Her risks have paid off to varying degrees; this is an unqualified success! Well, maybe the shoe’s a strange afterthought, but the truth is it took me a few minutes to even notice that, so.

Meanwhile, Diane Kruger looks fab in this D&G, but I can’t pretend to like it much. You?

And I just wanna take the opportunity to say that I once saw Diane and Josh on Houston Street and they looked both normal and celeb-glowing, also really tall. Which is to say a truly optimal celeb-sighting experience. Even though I had to do the jaded New Yorker thing and pretend not to be looking.

And I swear I’m not one of these people who sees a lot of celebs — mostly because they don’t tend to show up in my apartment to watch Top Chef downloads and eat canned tomatoes — but last week I also saw Liam Neeson! And he, too, was really, really tall! Are velvet jackets and worn shoes slightly ridiculous? Yes, so why does he look so awesome?

I’ll just say it: kinda loving this whole Priscilla Presley vibe!

There’s been a lot of talk this year about leopard, but wherever we stand, can we agree that this is not how to do it?

Everyone’s favorite couple, no? And looking like a couple of art patrons who just scored something from a really promising up-and-comer!

On the one hand, Sarah Drew looks like she’s playing dress-up. On the other, anything that heralds the end of the stylist stranglehold on red-carpet weird!
