Courteney Cox & David Arquette Split

  • Courteney Cox and David Arquette announced today that they've been separated for several months. They said in a joint statement that they need, "to better understand ourselves and the qualities we need in a partner and for our marriage."
  • The statement continues, "We remain best friends and responsible parents to our daughter and we still love each other deeply... We are comfortable with the boundaries that we have established for each other during this separation and we hope that our friends, family, fans and the media also show us respect, dignity, understanding and love at this time as well." They've been married for 11 years and their daughter Coco is six. [E!]
  • As for why they're announcing this now, TMZ is reporting that photos are about to surface of David Arquette and another woman. However, a source says there's still a "real possibility" they'll reunite. [TMZ]
  • As you'll recall, Lindsay Lohan is telling everyone in rehab that Michael Lohan is the root of all her problems. Michael would like us to know that Dina is also a crappy parent (in case you hadn't noticed), so he made up some story about Dina hitting his mom in the face with a phone 20 years ago. [TMZ]

  • Oprah is upset because a South African court has acquitted the dorm matron accused of molesting students at her Leadership Academy for Girls.
