Since his days as Project Runway's season two finalist, designer Daniel Vosovic has consistently hired women of color to model his collections—including Selina Kahn for his Spring 2011 show. He explained to us his casting choices.

Vosovic says that he's simply trying to reflect his consumer base among his models, rather than the inspiration for his collection (which this season was Liz Taylor in Who's Afraid of Virgina Wolf?). He adds that he doesn't even know why diversity on the runway—when it's present—is even a question.
