Who Else Is Excited For Lindsay's Washed-Up Phase?

I love celebrities who are no longer celebrated—humility is more endearing than pride. So I don't get the hand-wringing over Lindsay Lohan's career. When was she ever on the Academy Award path? Clearly these people don't appreciate camp.

In the 21 years that she's been in the business, Lindsay has only made three big hits (films that grossed over $100 million). And they were all kids movies. I was always baffled when I'd hear that it was such a shame that she was so troubled because she's "so talented." Yes, Mean Girls was fun. But frankly, the last time that she's shown any range was when she put on an accent in Parent Trap when she was 11. That was 13 years ago.

The article also seemed to think that it was degrading that Lindsay would agree to full-frontal nudity for Inferno, the Linda Lovelace biopic. Hello! The last film she was in that actually made it into theaters was I Know Who Killed Me, in which she played a one-legged stripper who owned a hairless cat with highly visible balls! After that, was anyone expecting her to play a lawyer in a courtroom drama?

However, I do see why people are confused about her appearance in Underground Comedy Movie 2010. It's a movie made by the ShamWow guy. You know, the guy who was arrested for beating up a hooker.

But it's hilarious that she shot the movie—just before going to jail—with her SCRAM anklet on. And I don't mean in a schadenfreude kind of way, but in a campy kind of way. So all of Lindsay's "concerned" career-watchers should get off their pop-culture high horses. Her place in Hollywood can be appreciated as is.
