Last night, VH1 premiered a new reality show called Celebracadabra, in which "celebrities" (they're using that term really loosely at this point) get trained by professional magicians and illusionists to see who can become the best magician. It's kind of sad because the people on the show (C. Thomas Howell, Kid from Kid 'n Play, Carnie Wilson, one of the Pussycat Dolls) actually could feasibly use a career change. Anyway, the weirdest part about the show was that one of the professional magicians, Silly Billy, is actually David Friedman, whose family's involvement in a child molestation case in the 1980s was the subject of the documentary Capturing the Friedmans.
