    Judging from this 1971 commercial, the View Master was such a fine toy it required not one, but two future Academy Award winners to sell it: Henry Fonda and a 9-year-old Jodie Foster.

    Though the ad does feature two girls and a multi-ethnic cast, we question how progressive it really was, since the African-American girl's face is only shown for a split second.
