Homes Now Too Expensive to Even Imagine OwningS

For the first time, Forbes has ranked the top 20 most expensive fictional houses along with their annual ranking of the 15 richest fictional characters.

Topping the list is Xanadu, the home of Charles Foster Kane's from Citizen Kane. Though the movie calls the mansion "the costliest monument a man has built to himself" since the Pyramids, Forbes prices it at just $160 million. Coming in third is Burns Manor, home of The Simpsons' Mr. Burns, 1,000 monkeys with 1,000 typewriters, robotic Richard Simmons, and pack of attack dogs. At #10 is the House on Boardwalk, featured in Monopoly, priced at $6 million for 1, $18 million for two, $42 million for three. Barbie's hideous three-story pastel pink Dream House is valued at an outrageous $16 million. Ken comes with the property, but we question the value of a boyfriend with molded plastic undies. [Forbes]
