in response to, Barack Obama Makes The Schoolgirls Blush: "Look, E.B. White's decision to kill off Charlotte may not sit well with some people. It's a tragic event. But it was undoubtedly a decision he made after consulting his pastor, doctor and/or significant other. What's important is that he was not forced to keep a character that he did not have the ability to support through the rest of the story. But evaluating the moral integrity of White's work is really a job for someone above my pay grade."
