An Australian judge has ruled that an internet cartoon depicting characters from The Simpsons engaging in sexual acts is child pornography. Alan John McEwan was convicted in a local court when the images were found on his computer, but he appealed the decision all the way to the Supreme Court. He ended up having to pay a $3,000 fine and enter into a two-year "good behavior bond" as a result. The judge said that he would've served jail time had the images been actual people. You can check out some of the images here, which is obvs NSFW. As the Times' Jack Healy asks, "Are drawings that depict the younger members of the Simpsons clan engaged in carnal activities merely offensive and crude? or do they actually constitute child pornography?"
