The bomb dropped on Betty and Don Draper on the season finale of Mad Men had nothing to do with the Russians. Betty is pregnant (probably from the sex she and Don had on the floor of her dad's house), and to reach out to her doctor for help with an abortion, but he made the decision that since she was a "married woman of means," there's no reason that she should even want one. Out of desperation, she explains the predicament to her friend in a beauty salon, hoping she might know something about back alley abortions. In the end, she's left with no choice but to tell Don and take him back. Clip above.
