    Joe "The Cat Killer" Petcka was back in court today to ask a Manhattan judge for a retrial unless prosecutors reduce the charges against him to a no jail time, misdemeanor offense or drop the charges against him entirely. Petcka's previous trial on felony animal-cruelty charges after he beat his girlfriend's cat to death "in self-defense" ended in a mistrial last month. [NY Post]
