I stand by the pieces as both fair and quite gentle…We glue my ears down. That’s one of the tricks…I’ll tell you, that lady is five times better-looking than I am. She’s 44? She’s got none of that droopy shit. She’s keeping it tight!

On Oprah::

This would never have happened if Oprah was not such a woman of her word. I think anyone else would have been like, ‘Oh, come on, I’m not doing that.’ Plus, I think Gayle [King] is a fan of the show, which helped.”

She got me to play a Republican! She is so much less vain and self-absorbed than most. So many actresses are high-maintenance. But she doesn’t bring that neurosis.
