Samantha-Jane Stacey, a 280 pound 14-year-old Sumo wrestler from Australia, has been selected to represent her country in the Sumo world championships in Estonia next month. Stacey's naturally larger size (she says she has a condition and cannot lose weight) gives her an advantage but she acknowledges that she "looks obese" even though she eats a healthy diet and gets plenty of physical activity. Although the sport is often seen as male-only, Stacey says Sumo is "the perfect sport for girls" because it mixes mental and physical abilities. [UPI & Daily Mail]
