Peter Som was raised in San Francisco by architect parents. But you won't find a lot of hard edges in his clothing: There's a softness in his designs, and he's known for "effortless elegance." His show today for Spring 2009 featured intense blues, some glittery metallics, and a few pieces inspired by men's shirts. The overall effect was, in a word, Pretty.
