Is Today Mocking “Ugly Models”?

Ok, I'm going to sound like a mom when I say this, but I don't like your tone, Al Roker! On this morning's Today show, he interviews the owner of an agency called Ugly Models, a place specializing in models who are not tall, lithe and fitting in with societal ideals. Obviously calling the place "ugly" is meant to be tongue-in-cheek, but the way Roker and Today seem to be approaching the models is LOLZ! Look at the fat dude who is a model! How completely hilarious to think that someone would want to look at a picture of him! Dunno, maybe I'm overreacting — it's Friday and I've lost my ability discern gentle humor from gentle insult.
