Last night, our local PBS station aired another compelling documentary in its Wide Angle series, this one focusing on Ugandan children stolen from their families and forced to serve as child soldiers by their country's rebel group, the Lord's Resistance Army. The film featured two boys and one girl, Jennifer, who was stolen at the age of 9 and, at the time of the film's production, was undergoing rehabilitation in a counseling center. In the clip above, Jennifer talks to a social worker about some of the trauma she experienced, and hears the results of a recent HIV test. (Additional resources, here and here.) Lord's Children [PBS]
