It can be a tough life as a scientist living on Antarctica. It never really gets warm, there's not a ton of people around and for about 3 months a year, you're physically cut off from outside contact. I guess that's why just before their winter (our summer) set in and supply shipments stopped, McMurdo Station got a shipment of 16,500 condoms which will be distributed free to the staff. Of course, until September, there are only 125 (mostly male, we called ) scientists there, and then only 1,000 people in and out throughout the rest of the year. But what else are you going to do to pass the time? Plus, doesn't your heart just sing that in some very small way, our government is probably subsidizing some butt secks?
