John Edwards brought his own special brand of nice-guy hotness to Morning Joe this morning and, under intense questioning by Mika Brzezinski, admits that he voted for someone in last Tuesday's primary and that he will likely endorse that person eventually. But he insists that he won't reveal who that person is because, "I just voted for 'im on Tuesday." Anyone think he's talking about John McCain? [Time]

I think he's talking about himself. He's still on the ballot, right? If Hillary still has a shot, so does he...
I totes thought he already backed Barry. HAHA! Oh porn...Edwards backing Barry.
Carry On.
@tashatakeadive: He and Elizabeth have split their support - she is for Hillary and he is for Obama. They did an interview about their thoughts on the election, but don't plan to endorse 'til the states are done voting.
@sabbaticalplease: He wasn't on the ballot in NC, where they voted. I'm still sad about that.
@tashatakeadive: My boyfriend John doesn't do such things!
I'm not an Edwards supporter--although I do find him dreamy in many ways--but does this strike anyone else as someone hitching a ride on the bandwagon heading for the White House?
@Leiakat: Oh, I didn't know that. Ignore my other comment.
You just know he voted for Nader. If he can't have the White House, no Democrat can. Mwahahaha!
@DorothyZbornak: Maybe not, but my boyfriend Barry does!
Umm...John? I think that interview in People let the cat out of the bag a bit about who you support.
Edwards is totally going to endorse Gravel.
@Khrushchev: He won't do the VP thing again after that run with Kerry.
@tashatakeadive: Kinky!
@DorothyZbornak: Ooooh, he does in my dreams . . .
He was so charming and funny when he was on Colbert and did his EdWORD routine. You know he's going Obama.
He fucking creeps me out. Relatively speaking.
He was my first choice candidate. And his wife rocks.
still hoping for the AG spot in the obama administration, johnny?
@Khrushchev: I have a guy friend who's convinced that Edwards will end up Secretary of Labor. Not a bad place for him.
@Charlotte Corday: Hope springs eternal.
I think it's Obama and it was settled when Barry went to see him a few months ago.
That's my boy! My original dream team was Edwards/Obama, with Obama running for President after Edwards' 2 terms were up. I can live with Obama/Edwards. It might actually be a good thing for Edwards to be VP so he can focus more time on Elizabeth. God knows Cheney's got nothing but time.
I think he's just trying to be dignified and stay above the crazy baiting going on b/w candidates trying to pull supporters, endorsers, SDs and anyone else out of the woodwork in support of their respective campaigns. He obviously doesn't think much of either, or thinks somewhat equally of both in terms of qualifications for POTUS.
Edwards needs to be in the cabinet somewhere. I don't think VP is a good fit for him, this time. AG, that has a nice ring to it.
@tashatakeadive: have a naughty, naughty weekend you bad girl!
but you know Liz went for the Hills.
@Khrushchev: OMG, that's what's killing me about all those super-delegates! I know your votes are important, but pick a fucking horse like the rest of us did!
My theory is that they're all indebted to /friends with Hillary, but they want to vote for Obama. Sack up, bastards!
@Lymed: this would be one of the few scenarios that would keep me in DC. that DOJ would be the stuff dreams are made of.
@ccchild: I actually don't think it's that nefarious. I think everyone has kind of come around to the notion that all the states need to vote, so that the super delegates choice is viewed as an extension of voters, not an imposition from above. And I think they are right.
John McCain? Don't speak such blasphemy about Edwards.
@J.D.Regent: It would be like having Bobby Kennedy as President and AG all at the same time.
@J.D.Regent: i dunno. i guess i just don't have the edwards keen. besides, getting him, or any trial lawyer, confirmed will be an uphill battle. feingold would probably be easier.
@topsy: As much as I'd like it, I can't see that ticket happening. I see Edwards in an Obama administration, but not as veep.
I really believe he's going to be somewhere in Obama's cabinet. AG would be great. I get the feeling that the Edwards never thought much of the Clintons actually. Elizabeth gave her some lip a few times.
@Charlotte Corday: mmmm...feingold...easy. ok let's be honest, as long as there's a dem up in that joint i'm never leaving this swamp pit.
@J.D.Regent: But we need people like you in the swamp pit, to fight for people like us!
@midwestmarge: I have met him twice and he is incredibly charming and sincere. My mother was like "This man is like the closest thing to a Kennedy" and I am pretty sure she didnt mean Teddy. He would make a wonderful Attorney General. And then his attempt at being like RFK would be even better. Speaking of, where is RFK Jr. in all this election hooha?
for some reason artful it's not letting me reply to you, but i actually think RFK is a Hill supporter.
I ate lunch with him and Elizabeth yesterday (well, two tables away...but he smiled at me TWICE!). He was super tan.
That's all I have to contribute to this conversation.
I have actually sniffed his neck. He smells like Irish spring and manly goodness. He and his wife are the nicest people.
He is also really good looking and quite mesmerizing in a live setting.
@J.D.Regent: leave? no! you must stay. if only to go around rousting republicans out of "our" bars. and of course burn smith point to the ground.
i have friends who are hoping (and praying!) to scoop up a hill-area house bargain after november.
Dude....if Edwards back Barack, this election is O.V.E.R....white men go crazy over Edwards. perfection.
@Charlotte Corday: london's calling love, just as england goes tory and we go dem. figures. just my luck.
@FatBottomedGirl: I'm not going to ask.
@Charlotte Corday: Death to khaki pants!
Sorry, but it's a typo: "I just voted for 'em on Tuesday." If Edwards doesn't want to release the feline from the sack, he's too smart to make the mistake attributed to 'im.
@BadenBaden: How was it Baden?
@J.D.Regent: I know Jezebel is secretly trying to have me abstain from commenting. I thought so but I wasn't sure. Other than the bit of hypocrite RFK Jr. has about the plant near Cape Cod, I heart that man so much - him and that raspy voice.
In my ideal world, Edwards hasn't backed anyone because neither candidate is progressive enough for him. Probably not true, but I'll keep thinking that about my pretty liberal boy.
@FatBottomedGirl:
Ahaha. Slightly creepy, but to be perfectly honest, I'm jealous.
And joking about Edwards supporting McCain? Not funny!
@FatBottomedGirl: And I would therefore like to sniff YOU. I always knew he was cool, manly, and refreshing, like a fine ale or sailing, or somesuch.
I always loved this man and have found him more RFKish than BO. Either way, he'll get a Cab. offering, fo'sho.
@tashatakeadive: I'm glad I'm not the only one with these fantasies! Although lets be honest, Johnny would totally be the bottom.
@dictator4life1: If he is so progressive, how come he was right there with Hillary voting to authorize the Iraq war? I liked what he said about poverty but it all seemed a little calculated. He's still super-hot though.
mike gravel was still on our ballot here so......
