whoa, this is the most uncomplicated outfit she's worn. but still--swoon.
Finally! She looks fabulous!
I think this dress is beautiful. Perhaps because I have one nearly identical to it.
I love it--the rouching looks like alien eyes are staring out of her collarbones.
I don't care that this dress makes her look like a swatch of wallpaper, Tilda Swinton is so much ferosh tranny hotness I can't stand it.
I don't know how to say this correctly, but this is the least androgynous I've ever seen her look. While I always find her to be striking, she looks GORGEOUS here.
I think this dress would look better on her in another color.
I still love Tilda though.
wow, this is the most normal clothing i think i've ever seen her in. that being said, i think i prefer her regular "i don't give a fuck what you think" style
She looks great dressed as a woman, and she looks great dressed as a man, an alien or a parade float.
Tilda looks gorgeous in a grey shift dress, showing no cleavage or vagina, with barely any makeup and simple hair.
Take that, all you hot tranny messes. Your 5 solid pounds of makeup, overdone hair, skirts up your ass, and areolas showing to the world are NO match for the Tild.
not the Ice Queen....Galadriel.
Finally, an outfit that doesn't make her look like a Spider From Mars.
I wish she would put a little color on those eyebrows. I guess it's her trademark now though.
OK, if her "normal" is slightly off-kilter (that is, off-the rails-but-in-an-awesome-way-because-she-is-tilda-swinton), I feel ambivalent. It's stunning, but I kind of miss the crazy.
i hate that my first thought after reading that headline was ridiculously dirty and i dont know if i can post it or not. what is going on?
@PrairieGirl: She can, of course, do whateverthefuck she wants with her eyebrows. Her awesomeness is undiminished.
I would like some Turkish Delight now. Oh, and some Mr. Tumnus, please.
FABULOUS! Love the big cuff and shagreen clutch, too.
What do you guys think that dress is made out of? It looks like beautifully tailored neoprene!
Damn. This is a little more how I pictured the angel Gabriel.
Seriously, if she offered me Turkish Delight, you know I'd go with her.
Next time I go to a wedding, I want the Bride and Groom to suply an ice sculpture shaped like Tilda Swinton in this picture.
She looks really lovely. And she is so talented! She even made that *horrible* dreck called Constantine bearable.
Also, definitely the only famous person I am actually attracted to.
She looks FANTASTIC here while still being very Tilda. Marvelous!
I have similar coloring--red hair, pale skin--and I wish I could get away with the makeup-free look. My features are so pale they tend to melt into each other and into the backgrounds of photos.
If I wore this papier-mache paste-colored concoction, I probably would go entirely discorporate, and I'd have to find something to haunt.
@hello.kitty: oops, just noticed the movie poster. Was too busy looking at her gown. She looks faboo.
Wow. Girl done brought it.
Even in her photographs I find her extremely intimidating. She's fabulous.
She is so perfect-looking for the part, too! She can look beautiful while still being evil. But not evil in the "I'm going to make you fall in love with me and then ruin your life" like most evil beauties in movies, but powerful evil. Love.
she looks like she can almost float by...
@pureblarney: Am I taking you too literally, here? She played the angel Gabriel in Constantine. God, she looked AWESOME.
Gorgeous? Beautiful? Fabulous?
I don't get it. At all.
Talented? OK, I'll go along with that. As for the rest . . . not so much.
@tscheese: Its part of her her beauty- she has such strong features. That's what she was so fabulous in Orlando.
@Ruby_Slippers: Eye of the Beholder, and all that. She has a fairly devoted fan base, though.
It is an other worldly look that she cultivates, and she likes those types of parts too. It all makes sense to me.
Who kidnapped the real Tilda Swinton and replaced her with this relatively normal being?
Would not be surprised if this pic actually turned out to be part of a new exhibit at Madame Tussaud's.
Goes to show that if you have the right combination of bone structure and attitude, you will never need makeup. The attitude can be cultivated, but when will they invent changeable bone structure?
@lolacat(ΩΜ): I watched "Becoming Jane" last night - with the gorgeously beautiful luscious Mr. James McEvoy Tumnus. I didn't realize it was him until about halfway through, then all I could see for about 20 minutes was Jane Austen's beau as a faun. That's it. Goat legs under a Regency coat.
He is emminently fuckable, that's all I have to say about that. So is Ms. Swinton, even though I really much prefer men. But I miss her flamboyant style - she looks gorgeous here, you can't hide that no matter what, but I'm a fan of crazy fashion. Especially on her.
@ItchykooParker: I'm so glad I'm not the only one who has a crush on a faun...I was watching the Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe wondering how the sex would work.
But, I watched that movie this weekend, and then Michael Clayton, and I also have a certified crush on Ms. Swinton. She's freaking amazing.
@roodles: can u imagine Christian Siriano designing for her??? I would DIE
@Ruby_Slippers: I'm with you. I'm completely puzzled by the Tilda worship. She looks like K.D. Lang's unattractive sister.
@violettefay: Ha ha I think the sex would work very very well!
Swinton WAS amazing in Michael Clayton. Played totally against type, and I was impressed.
Marry me, Tilda!
@wring:
I totally just imagined her in that awesome dress that Christian and Chris designed for that one challenge and it's completely awe-inspiring. Seriously, think about it.
@senzaflash: she can marry you all she wants and keep you hidden away in some cottage in the hebrides, but she's making me her paramour and taking me to all her movie premieres. to me her hands are the sexiest part about her. besides her mouth, neck, skin, ears, jawline, and all other parts of her i have seen.
@lolacat(ΩΜ): Hahaha, I know. She was awesome in the part, but I always pictured Gabriel as being somehow more womanly. Don't quote me on that. But she looks beautiful/statuesque/elegantly powerful.
@ineffable.me: post it! i want to hear your dirty thought
