First Ana "The Devil" Wintour and now HRC. What is up with all the nostril? At least Hils is smiling with her eyes. Ana just wanted to suck out my soul.
Why do I keep expecting resolution and closure after each race? Who am I fooling?
Oh, I think y'all need the full quote:
But today on his program, Limbaugh told "operatives and commandos" that he has received emails from GOP voters that they have not been challenged at the polls. He read one email from one who voted for Clinton: "It was tough. I showered twice, I threw up in my mouth, but I did it."
God, he's a revolting piece of shit.
Oh purleeze. Don't jinx us - no one has "probably" won yet until the votes are counted - and they're still coming in. Lot of early voting this election, but also lots of election day voting. Whee! Time to break open the wine.
HRC, I just want to know where the southern accent came from.
@blackbirdfly: Rushie is a sleeze, isn't he?
I'm constantly amazed at how self-righteous this man can be when he most definitely less than perfect himself. Prescription drug abuse and, I believe, a divorce?
FYI: If Obama wins 57% of NC, it will completely negate any progress Hillary made in PA.
Im watching MSNBC at the moment... Should I turn to CNN?
@ElleL: dude, all CNN does is orgasm over Hillary for hours on end. Though msnbc isn't much better. I'm glad he did what he needed to do in NC, now he needs to keep in close in Indiana, whooohoo.
I wonder how Obama's (expected) NC win will be spun by the media. Clinton's campaign projected a 15 point loss, but it's going to be closer than that; I'm expecting the MSM to say 'Why didn't he win it with a larger margin?'
He did surpass 1.5 million individual donations on his website, if any Obama supporters were interested.
@battleaxonista: I seriously don't know what you watch, b/c MSNBC and CNN are no Hillary lovers. Trust.
@ceejeemcbeegee (AKA!): Hey, she spent a LOT of years in Arkansas. That's where the accent probably comes from.
@marin79: @battleaxonista: MSNBC is totally pro-Obama.
@marin79: I notice the fact they only report polls when Obama is sliding and keep talking about Hill's momentum. But they're out for ratings like everyone else.
@funnyface: She strenuously avoided having any inkling of an accent when she was First Lady of Arkansas. The only time you here it is when she's campaigning for something.
@NOLAgirl: maybe by MSNBC I mean Chris Matthews, but his goofy grin is all I see when I tune in, so I assumed the rest was as bad *besides my bf Keith Olberman* perhaps not, my baaaaad.
@battleaxonista: Agreed, even though they are all but calling Indiana for Hillary. But it wont matter much since Obama is picking up delegates left and right, and therefore his need for superdelegates is dwindling.
Im quite proud that my new state of NC has turned out in record numbers to support Obama, and focused on the real issues rather than the Wright distraction.
I just want this to be over already, and bring on McCain.
OBAMA/CLINTON is a ticket I can get behind. :)
M
My dream political newscaster team would be Olberman and Craig Kilbourne. How sweet would that be?
@ElleL: Yea, she'll probably win it, but it's going to tighten up quite a lot once the NW counties start reporting. So maybe she'll get 8 delegates out of it. Big whoop.
Be proud!! NC did good, hehe.
@battleaxonista: Maybe I should have said Keith Olberman is totally pro-Obama. Probably more accurate. Ultimately though, the media is loving this race and they'll say whatever it takes to keep us watching, reading, etc. That's their job.
@battleaxonista: P.S. Be nice to Political Party Girl.
This seems like it will go on forever.Is Michigan and Flordia going to do another one?
@NOLAgirl: She throws down with the best of them but I'll put my sais away:P
* Florida. My spellcheck has issues with that state. I think it's still bitter because of the 2000 presidential election
@Kaehoku: I'm with you. I think we all might be. I keep trying to convince myself that it will ultimately benefit the Democratic candidate that the GOP will have less time to focus negatively on the nominee, but godDAMN I'm ready for this to be over.
And totally O/T but I have to share that I had a dream last night (after re-watching the "more perfect union" speech again) that Obama and I were walking around my town with a crowd of supporters, getting everybody excited about his upcoming inauguration; we also had an adorable puppy on a leash with us. I don't know what to think about that, but I woke up happy.
@battleaxonista: She can definitely hold her own, but she's reasonable and she's a sister (sorority).
@Gretchen:
Divorce hardly makes someone "less than perfect", surely!
@NOLAgirl: she's reasonable maybe to you and not my sister, but I will try to hold myself to a higher standard than others (not PPGirl) have held themselves to.
@NOLAgirl: I second that. @battleaxonista: And thanks! PPG does HRC right!
@battleaxonista: Thatta girl!
@battleaxonista: Um, I'm from Arkansas. I remember hearing a bit of an accent come out now and then.
@funnyface: I'm from a border state and we would constantly mock Bubba's southern drawl and Hillary's 'I am NOT from here goshdarnit' non-accent. And now-and-then does not equate with the nonstop Southern belle routine she pulls out every time she meanders down south.
@funnyface: you know...kind of like Oprah.
Ok, is it time for Hillary to drop out?
Everything suggests at this point she can't win the nomination without a majority of the superdelegates - a scenario that might tear the party apart. If she should stay in, why? Was does she accomplish by staying in until the convention?
Just in case the personal attackers are lurking; I think Hillary would be the best president we've had since FDR AND I gave the maximum individual contribution to her campaign.
@quantrail: The thing is, Obama can't win without a majority of the super delegates either, so I doubt she's going to drop out. This whole primary season is such a mess on the Democratic side that I wonder if they're going to end up tweaking the system again. If the Democratic side was winner take all like the Republican side, we would have a candidate by now.
@Scal: No. But when you have criticized others for the same action in the past and when circumstances surrounding yours are rather shady on your part the term hypocrite comes to mind. That glass houses and stones saying comes to mind.
@susie_drew: That's the best dream EVER. I mean, I voted for HRC, but if/when Obama gets the nom, I'll happily cast my vote for him--and try to convince everyone I know to do the same.
Plus, PUPPY.
I think I may mess with some of the hardcore male Obama supporters...when they are all in my face around November "checking up" on my support, I'll barter my vote for their favors for women's organizations and charities. Let's say, my vote for an individually composed letter (no form!) for a certain reproductive rights issue. They will have to cc me. :)
It's a fair barter considering the sexism Clinton has had to endure.
@richcreamerybutter: geez. all this assumed misogyny. i'm a male obama supporter, but also a women's studies minor. i initially was a clinton supporter, then switched to obama, but still really liked clinton. i just can't handle her now. the turning point was when she implied that mccain would be a better leader than obama. her recent attacks and the gas tax stuff has been unbearable. luckily it looks like she will be dropping out wednesday.
@funnyface: Oh yeah... just caught an interview and was all WTF? truth be told, I never heard it before...
@Gretchen: Um, and a perfect physical male specimen to boot!
@Scal: Is that all you know about Rush?
@konstantConsumer: if you're a women's studies minor, you should know exactly which males I'm referring to (considering this topic has been exhausted lately). I'm not referring to "assumed misogyny," but the blatant sort that has been paraded by examples from all walks of life for the past 6 months (no, I'm not talking about ALL male Obama supporters).
Or, perhaps you've just emerged from hibernation (not that I blame you)?
