All these non-working, outside being people make my head hurt. Bah!
More American Apparel. That dress is so uncomfortable.
I don't like the dress. Just sayin'. It looks like something my mom wears around the house.
@kitschenette: It looks like something my mom wore around the house in the late 70s.
She always reminds me of a ladybug.
@zivah: It looks like something I wore in the late 70s. When I was 2.
@zivah: Ha! My mom wore something similar to this when she was pregnant with me in the late 70s. Only she did NOT wear it outside of the house.
Ack, she stole my first grade last-day-of-school outfit!
Looks like a friggin kitchen towel. Terrycloth - DO NOT WANT!
@zivah: I think some of the stuff my mom wears around the house is from the late 70s.
Love her body, HATE THE FUCKIN HAIR. When is she going to get rid of that awful cut and dye?
I wish I was somewhere where I could get away with wearing clothing like this... although, is that terrycloth? I'm on my little iBook and not wearing glasses so the world has a nice fuzziness about it right now.
But damn you, spring, will you never come?!?
She is just a pile of cute. I saw her on Conan O'Brien a few weeks ago and she was explaining that she is a huge fan of Psychology Today, like it's her nerdy-guilty pleasure. She then tried to explain how she read that mates are attracted to each other through smell. Needless to say, it wasn't a normal "pitch the movie and leave" kind of interview.
@zivah:
My mom's had shorts in it. Others were tube top/ shorts combos!
Her hair color makes me so irritated.
@cuteasabutton: Totally! I swear I had that same getup, except it had a zipper up the front. As a kid I looooved that. Sadly, not a one of us can pull of terrycloth these days.
Also, that car behind her is gigantic.
@Onalee: The zipper had a little ring pull at the top - loved that outfit so much - sigh...
That outfit is The Opposite of Sex.
@I, SBJ, A Fucking Dyke: I like her much better with darker hair.
@shewar: I'll bet it leaves a lot of red marks on the tummy, where the elastic is. It doesn't look comfy. And I agree with the others - I think I wore something similar when I was a toddler/little kid in the last 70s/early 80s.
I don't like it. It's too short and it looks uncomfy, tight and itchy.
I LOVE the color though.
Ever since she started towards skeletor looks her head looks even more too large for her body.
What is it with women who have deliciously curvy bodies feeling they need to become stick figures?
Second that this is something I would have worn as a kid. I seem to remember mine being white with rainbows on it. And loving it beyond all reason.
I had the pool robe in that same color. But cat ripped it apart, though. It was also very short.
@Snowbunny: It seems like it would ride up too, cause of the elastic band.
@Archetype: MY cat.
Spring Awakening? Yeah, it's snowing here in central Europe. SNOWING.
I hate hate hate the weird proportions this gives her. Hello, freakishly large chest area (that still looks flat-chested, since she had her girls amputated or whatevs). Although if she did have big boobies, that horrible thing would be unwearably short (I have them, I know). And stumpy legs.
Boycott things that make you look this way!!! She's so pretty most of the time...
@kitschenette: Yeah, and it's alreadys going to be an upskirt magazine when she sits down.
@zivah: Like back when velour was the hot new thing?
I don't know. I'd wear that dress in a heartbeat. Don't even tell me where to get it. But, I also live in Santa Monica near the beach and people often dress that way there. All yoga pants and simple Saturday dresses, bottled water in hand, a ponytail, flip flops. It's my every day uniform unless I'm actually going somewhere. she looks totally appropriate.
I mean really -- if people had to dress up all the time it would be really tiring. I think her dressed down is adorable.
I wish she was my neighbor.
@Communist Spy is Spying: I'd wear it, but seeing as how I have a C cup and no waist, it would look like ass on me.
Terrycloth? It looks like terrycloth. I don't even wear terry around the pool in my backyard. Terry should be used in bathrobes only, thank you.
does she have webbed toes? What's going on on her right foot?
@special_boots: Well, the cut was because of Speedracer. No idea about the color. Atleast in the movie it is dark brown.
@Snowbunny: Ditto.
@desylicious: Snowing in Toronto, too. Not impressed.
So, is Christina Ricci really a teeny-tiny pocketlady? Because she looks small enough to be a key fob for that gigantor car/SUV/whatever behind her.
God, losing all that weight really made her amazing boobs disappear.
@fluffybudgie: I met her when she was in my town filming a movie (Home of the Brave). I was totes hungover, and they were filming outside my friend's apartment...I am a little girl(legal), but she is tiny, tiny.
My 80 year old grandmother has that exact dress.
There's no excuse for that unless it's a beach cover-up. And the last time I was in LA, West Hollywood was not on the beach. Also, the hair color sucks. I'm grumpy today, can you tell?
Oh my. I have this dress in two colors.
:)
@shewar: Totally AA. I have that dress, but not in terrycloth and it has little pockets. I wore it once, to my mom's house, paired with brown boots. My mom said I looked like Robin Hood and I haven't worn it since.
I also think I was drunk when I bought it, because it was laundry day and I was trying to find something to wear and stumbled upon that dress with zero recollection of having bought it or owned it.
@hannahwilde: 'Course we both worked it with the outfit and the bubble gum lip smackers, I'm sure. :)
@BrutallyHonestBabes: I had one of those! And I must say, I was damn cute in it. Of course, I was also three, so I would have looked damn cute in anything...
At first I totally thought it was culottes.
@Hooplehead: mine was pink and turquoise and I wore it with messy pigtails. God i loved that outfit! Terrycloth=super comfy.
@BAngieB: BEST.COMMENT.EVER. lol
@special_boots: Agree. Her tits are perfection.
her devotion to sunscreen is inspiring. nice to see she's still casper's #1 girl
@kitschenette: jesus christ. yes, it is. unless christina ricci is, in fact, three feet tall.
Color that outfit light blue with a zipper down the front and shorts instead of a skirt and there you have my 6th grade phy ed uniform. I kinda liked it actually, very few girls could pull off that look, I rocked it.
@BAngieB: ZING!
@Xavoc: I think she looks less skeletal here. I hope so anyway.
Oh, man... All this Christina bashing. Just gotta say that I love her no matter what she wears!
@marib: just glad to see there are no more questions about her breast reduction.
@marib: I'm cheered to see that she's so happy she can smile at a paparazzi.
Snap Judgement always seems like we're being set up to out ourselves as nasty little self-hatin' womenfolk. Unless it's all about cute babies.
I can't look at Ricci without thinking of Wednesday from the Addams Family.
