Not surprisingly, Dina Matos is denying allegations that she had a threeway with ex-husband Jim McGreevey and his former aide, Theodore Pederson. Matos released the following statement to MSNBC earlier today: "This all has to do with the publicity I have received since Governor Spitzer resigned. Jim has enlisted one of his cronies in trying to distinguish that situation from his own, and to discredit me in the media. He cannot stand it when I am receiving attention in the media rather than him." Oh man, the custody battle over little Jacqueline is going to be even sloppier than the Mills/McCartney mess. [MSNBC]

The gays DO NOT go to TGIFridays. Unless they're being ironic.
"He cannot stand it when I am receiving attention in the media rather than him."
DRAMA!
@JessicaLovejoy: Backstairsly: i go to fridays cause it's nice and dark.
Oh come on people.
SUCKS for the kid. regardless of who is telling the truth, do you really have to play these games in public and hurt your child more than she already has been? UGHARGHSIGHGRRR.
Yeah, because most women will have a three-way with their gay husband and his lover....cause that will totally keep the marriage strong. I don't know which of these people irritate me more.
If either of them cared about little Jacqueline, they'd keep this shit out of the press and deal with it like adults.
@summerwheatley:
here, here..
Ugh, I'm losing count of all the media whores in this story. (Spitzergate? Ooker-hay Gate?) And whats-her-face isn't even making the rounds yet.
Wow. They're not even trying to keep it civil for the kid's sake. They do realize that 10 years from now that girl is still going to be able to read their bitch-outs of each other online, right?
Y'all? I could use a daughter to play Strawberry Shortcake with. I need someone to be Lemon Meringue. Give me that behbeh and these two "parents" will never even notice. For the children.
@BAngieB: @hortense: You girls said it.
These people are so classy!
@mllej: I suspect Silda has much more class than to make the rounds. At least, I hope to GOD she does, because ew.
I want to be totally over the McGreeveys thing and not care any more, but it IS pretty badass that she's saying "um, no." Compare that to the stand by your man response of every other politician-in-a-sex-scandal's wife. New Jersey totally rules.
@broad: Most def. But I meant the diamond-rated one, not the Missus. I love that I can't remember her name but I don't know how long that will last.
@mllej: Oh. Her. I know! I know! But I won't share.
"This all has to do with the publicity I have received since Governor Spitzer resigned"
You mean the publicity you've asked for, on multiple occasions? This woman, and her husband, make me ill in more ways than one. I just feel bad for that poor little girl.
This child and Paul McCartney's daughter could start a support group for kids whose parents prefer lots of press to nurturing their kids' emotional well-being.
@stacyinbean: Imagine when that poor girl can read. Google is forever, you fame whores!
@baa: That's what kills me about this stuff. Keep your damn business behind closed doors folks, for the children, such as.
This gives me hope that a bitchslap is in the near future from Silda.
Even if Dina is dressed like a Peep.
I just realized what my problem is - I like my politics political and my celebrity gossip gossipy. It's when the politics get gossipy that I get really really bored.
I'm waiting for the crappy cell phone video to surface.
@hortense: Sane people think discretion is key. Ambitious, bitter and self-aggrandizing tweens masquerading as adults don't care about such trivial concerns such as their childrens' feelings.
@hortense: So Dina shouldn't be allowed to respond to that allegation because it may or may not someday upset her infant daughter? Seems harsh. If someone accused me of that (and I was innocent...), I'd come out swinging with both fists. Does she not have the right to defend herself against false allegations?
Oh, comments, why do you mysteriously disappear into the void.
Reiterated, tersely: I think Dina can and should defend herself against that allegation, if it's not true. Should she put up with defamation just because her child might someday be offended that Mommy and Daddy had a very public split? Hell no!
I don't think either one has their shit together enough to be a parent....poor kid.
Oh lordy now the ex-guvnah is saying it's true. Do these people not having publicists or lawyers to tell em to STFU??
