omfg I love him.
Alison Krauss, WOO!
i love a man who can rock polka dots.
My dad is taking me to see him (with The Police).
I LOVE Diana Krall.
@jenndavo: diana krall, right?
Favorite music/celeb couple. Wonder if they ever jam.
I recently missed out on tickets to see him. Sadness. I have the biggest Costello crush, so it's a good thing that Mr. PlasticMac is practically a (younger) carbon copy.
I would like his coat, please. And also him, in my living room, singing.
@seattleinthecity: @Archetype: SHIT. Yes. Sorry. But I love her, too!
i love diana too, but what are those pants?
@jenndavo: there should be no apologies when you're talking about two talented hotties like diana krall and allison krauss.
I love these two. My BF was on a recording session at Capital for another artist and these guys were there together and he got to talk to them and I was hella jealous. They are the pinnacle of awesomeness and the total shiznit.
That is Diana Krall.I actually think that's a weird pairing.
Nice man scarf.
Elvis! I was 13 years old when he became my first ever nerd crush. Talk about conflicted. I wanted to John Taylor from Duran Duran to ravage me, but I wanted Elvis to really "get" me and hang out at Mickey's diner with me.
*sigh*...I think I need to just zone out for a while.
I love their music and their twin boys are so cute.
Completely fab couple. There's something inspiring about them.
Awesomeness on four legs - that is this picture.
awe I love them. Super cute musical couple!
Diana Krall is singing my my wedding song - I insisted. God I love her voice, it makes me (think)(hope) my own low, scratchy, whiskey voice doesn't sound that bad sometimes...
LOVE Elvis. He did a live acoustic cover of "Pretty in Pink" that is unbelievable.
@kitsune: He worked on her last album, I think.
This photo makes me want to run up to him, babble "I love you, I've listened to Romeo's Seance at least seven hundred times...this month." and then steal his scarf.
The first sex dream I ever had in my life was about Elvis Costello, way back in his skinny, geeky phase in the late '70s, early '80s. I woke up madly in love with him, and it has never quite subsided.
Never ever been disappointed at an Elvis Costello show. Even the time he didn't do Allison at all, not even for an encore. Hey @jenndavo:, maybe that's what made you think of Allison Krause!
I love both of them, and think they're a great couple. But, I must admit that I was a little bit disappointed to find out that Diana was married. Her singing style is so intimate that it was a little bit of a let down to find out that she was married (to a man), and wasn't actually singing all of those sultry love songs to me. =(
Oh Dianer. So boring. When you're waiting to get off an Air Canada plane, she's who they play. Because when you're hunched over and trapped, why do anything to make you feel better?
@TheUptightMidwesterner: Me too!!! Oh man, he is like Numero Uno for me. Always will be.
@Tippi from Toronto: Elvis Sex Dreams for me always include eating an ice cream sundae either before of after. Don't really know why, though.
LOVE him. His concerts are so wonderful; his banter between the songs is the best part (I've NEVER heard him play "Alison" live, though! Good thing he has so many other great songs).
She is a completely bland product of marketing (the female Michael Buble, and no coincidence they are both from Vancouver.) He is a genius and a true philanthropist, as evidenced by his support of New Orleans. I have no idea what brought them together.
Love, love, love Elvis.
Diana? Meh. Though I must admit that I was surprised that they hooked up. I'd always heard that she was super gay. Hmm. Who knew?
One day, Elvis will find me. And I will be happy. That is all.
@brendastarlet: I beg to differ on Krall. When her debut CD came out, she was already garnering raves from respected jazz critics. Check out her Nat King Cole trio tribute album--some of her best stuff. She *has* become blander in recent years though...she's got terrific vocal and instrumental chops, but she's never been a strong songwriter (ditto for Norah Jones), and her collaborations with Costello are forgettable at best. I just think she needs to get back to her roots.
And she's not from Vancouver, she's from Nanaimo.
@seattleinthecity: when you call one by the other's name, yes. And there def needs to be one for pegged pants. Only on Skank Moss.
He left his wife for her. That always leaves a little bit of a bad taste in my mouth.
LOVE Elvis - not so crazy about her. Now that I see her in the peg leg pants - I like her even less. But I love, love, love Elvis
they are one of my fave celeb couples. both so freakin talented and hottt. for diana nay-sayers, listen to her live performance of "a case of you" from a joni mitchell tribute concert a while back-- it's amazing.
@whoneedslight: yes - he did leave his wife for Diana. His wife that was once in the POGUES. She was far more awesome than bland jazz balladeer.
I adore Elvis, but I've never liked Diana. I don't mind covers, but her music puts me to sleep.
Glad to know there are so many Elvis fans in my midst, though. I definitely got teased in high school for my weird taste in music. I had "My Aim Is True" on my Walkman for at least three years.
@littlebluebug: Where would one find that?
@whoneedslight: agreed
Whilst EC is no saint it is wrong to state that.
Graeme Thompson's excellant book Complicated Shaddows (The life and Music of Elvis Costello)has the details or you could simply listern to EC's album "North" to hear the events as they unfolded @whoneedslight:
