Judge Judy was on Entertainment Tonight on Friday to talk about her new multi-year deal with CBS that has her taping new episodes of her show through 2012. (At a reported $30 million a year for JJ. Syndication is where it's at!) Judy also took the time to give Mary Hart a little advice on love. "If you meet him in a bar on Tuesday, and you let him move in on Thursday, and co-sign for a car for him on Saturday you're an idiot." LOVE. HER.

"If you meet him in a bar on Tuesday, and you let him move in on Thursday, and co-sign for a car for him on Saturday you're an idiot."
None of this girls' friends could have pointed this out, for real? It takes Judge Judy?
I prefer Craig David's version.
I used to watch Judy practically every day in college; one of my best friends was a huge fan. Last Christmas we got her one of Judy's books, 'Beauty Fades but Dumb is Forever'.
@madktdisease: speaking as the friend of a girl who moved in with someone (and is marrying him soon) who has upwards of $15,000 in credit card debt-- sometimes, the girl won't listen to her friends.
Mary Hart's continued existence is a rash on my soul.
Sometimes I wonder if I'm making good choices. My test is Would Judge Judy approve? or Does this decision qualify me to be on her show? If I can picture her yelling at me WHAT where you THINKING? You don't LOOK like an idiot! then I slowly back away and take a nice nap until the situation passes.
my oldest brother was on judge judy...he was trying to get some dj equipment back from his first wife. never saw the episode, and probably couldn't have watched it anyway. it was the second time that brother was on tv. first time was on the news being caught with a prostitute during an undercover sting operation! i come from good peoples.
After watching that previous JJ clip with the wife beater, I was in class last Tuesday and the adorable older lady professor was like, "did anyone see Judge Judy recently, with the guy who beat up his wife at the kid's birthday party?" And I was like "I did!" (even though I just saw the clip) and got brownie points with the prof. Thank you, Jezebel.
Also, Judge Judy is awesome and I would watch her show if the other people in the courtroom didn't make me stabby.
@mentalmagnate: Today is a good day for reveals of Jezebels and their relatives on law enforcement and judicical shows.
@onthecornerofparkerandwoolf: I wouldn't care about $15k credit card debt if the dude was otherwise a solid person. Everyone has credit card debt... doesn't make them unlovable! Are there other contributing factors that make you wary of the situation?
JJ reminds me of my Grandmother.
One of us grandkids would do something stupid, and Gam would say --
"You're full of shit. But you KNOW that."
I miss my Gammy.
@blondegrlz: if it doesn't exist, this world really need "WWJJD?" bracelets.
Ugh, "if they don't exist, this world really needs 'WWJJD?' bracelets."
Lundi, mon cerveau ne marche pas.
@QueenCanada: Woohoo! Even though it was over a decade ago, my high school French remains up to the task.
i loove her. so much. i watch her everyday. i Love when she gets all mad and starts yelling and starts referencing to Bryd.
JJ = Common Sense!!!! I need a WWJJD bracelet........now!
she's in her 60s?? she looks awesome
I am really starting to like Judge Judy.
You know, I figured she was just another daytime blowhard along the lines of Dr. Phil. But now I'm seriously starting to like her.
