Ah, Vivienne Westwood! She's like the crazy English aunt we always wanted and never had, what with her flaming red hair and her manifestos riling against the evils of consumerism and its effects on the Culture. Also, Dame Vivienne seems to have taken up bringing English designers back to Londontown as her latest political cause du jour, spearheading the efforts by showing her own Red Label line yesterday during London Fashion Week. It was, blissfully, completely wacky. And some of the models carried picket signs! Annotated gallery of selected looks begins below.

There is some serious arse trinketry going on there.
I really hate all of it. Well no...the two dresses at the end are good. And the mustache.
When I am a grown-up with money I shall wear Vivienne Westwood. That is all.
Next time I get drunk, I'm wearin' a 'stache.
Even when it's ugly, I still love Vivienne Westwood.
I'll never forget this gorgeous $700 jacket of hers I tried on, and desperately tried to figure out a way to buy it. Needless to say, it didn't happen. But I still have my dreams, damnit.
@OhhYeah: Why wait 'til your drunk? I just drew mine on with the Sharpie at my desk.
@MissSmithDrankYourVodka: HAHAHAAHHAHA!
@MissSmithDrankYourVodka: ha! oh snap!
She stole 'punk' designs from kids hanging out on Kings Road way back when so I have never considered her as anything but an avante-garde wannabe.

the first look is in response to one of the lead guantanamo attorneys being accused of smuggling underwear to one of the detainees.
