Philip Lim hails from Orange County, and you can see some of that laid-back California vibe in his designs. But instead of surfers and Hollywood starlets, think fluid lines and easy, loose fits. His vision for fall 2008 has subdued neutrals, simple (but never boring) separates and a few punches of eye-popping, unusual colors. Is it a cohesive collection? Not sure. But the coats are divine!
