Amy Winehouse will indeed attend the Grammys! She left rehab this morning, but just to renew her visa. She went right back into the clinic after visiting the US embassy and should be all set to perform at the show this Sunday, February 10. Fingers crossed! Who doesn't love a comeback? [Us Magazine]

Well, so long for "take as much time as you need to get better"....
You've got to go away to comeback.
This is not in her best interest, no way.
I hope she rocks it!
Come on girl.. keep it up.. you're thisclose to the finish line.. and afterwards.. we'll go get ice cream.. doesn't that sound nice?
What? Will there actually be talent at the Grammys?
@ineffable.me: Agreed. You can't just "step out" into the world which got you into the mess your in when your head is not completely clear. Let's hope she's surrounded by some people who can keep her grounded and clear until she can get back to rehab.
what kind of dr / treatment program allows this?
I think she planned this all along, she's going to get her shit together and come back very drew barrymore-esque. Minus the same obnoxious character played in every movie and semi-decent acting skills of course.
@tashatakeadive: And talking out of the side of her fucking mouth like a stroke victim.
You know, that is just the most interesting shade of blush, Amy. Why, I do believe.....is that, Tang?
This makes me think about Natasha Lyonne and how she said she was in the hospital for months before getting better. That sounds a lot more realistic.
@glitteryzo: Dr. Phil prolly rang her up, told her whut was up.
I've been to rehab and I know that stopping using is not the same as being sober. Being sober takes time, and performing on a world stage isn't exactly conducive to recharging and re-prioritizing your life. I'm worried. I want a true, kickass comeback, not something rushed to meet our media-hungry culture.
"They tried to make me leave from rehab, but I said, 'no, no, no.'"
@lovenoelg: "You've got to go away to comeback" - well said!
Other than that, there is nothing anyone can say here that hasn't already been said a hundred times, so how about some Winehouse recommendations? Go download "Wake Up Alone" right now, I promise you will love it.
Failing that, I will also accept just plain wine recommendations.
I hope she'll be accompanied 100% of the time by someone who will tackle anyone who tries to give her drugs of any sort. And not just a "dude, no," like a full on, Giants linebacker tackle.
Too early. She's going to hurt herself. :(
Still cannot believe this woman is younger than I am. But anyway. It would be awesome if she flew to the States with a dr by her side, arrived an hour before the show, was kept apart from other folks, performed and then immediately flew back to her rehab centre.
Ok, sweetpea, you can go, but you will have the good, loving people stay with you the entire time.
Then you will hie yourself hence back to rehab and stay there until you are healthy and happy!
And eat several sammiches and some soup. Kthxbai.
@Trashtastic: Perhaps they need to go Hannibal Lecter on her, just to make sure. She can perform from inside a glass box and get wheeled around by burly men.
OMG, I'd better throw a party!
@ThaKadinskyPapers: bwaaaaaaahahahahahaha....
Wait. Do people still watch the Grammys? Without ralphing?
@ThaKadinskyPapers: And on that note, I babysat for the wee sis this weekend and totally made a giant pitcher of Tang. That stuff is so weird, but strangely addictive.
Does she EVER wear a coat?!
@blackbirdfly: I haven't watched them since the JLo green dress incident. Aaaaand that makes me feel all old n' stuff now that I've said it.
Treatment becomes her. Forgiving the yellow blush, that is.
This Just In! I still think she's gross and I don't care. (and, yes, that was ugly)
I thought that being terrified of performing was one of the things that caused her to get completely drunk when she performed. Is this a good thing?
@stacyinbean: it def fascinates me, as you can see, it has many, many uses. not just for astronauts!
@ejjakid6: crackies don't need coats, it's a built in feature you see, the 'shakes' are actually mini muscle movements that create just enough heat to keep the cells alive. she'd be fine in Antarctica dressed just how she is.
She needs to be in rehab with the door nailed shut.
@stacyinbean: I love Tang.
I want to see her perform, for purely selfish reasons. She is so amazing live (when she is soberish).
Damn! I sure lost that bet. I was pretty sure sister wouldn't even be kicking come Grammy time. My bad!
amy love, eat something, this is america. you're gonna need your knockers here.
@kataroo_kangaroo: hahaha that makes me conjure up images of Terry Tate, Office Linebacker. [youtube.com]
On another note, I got the DVD of "Amy Winehouse: I Told You I was Trouble, Live in London". What an awesome DVD. This girl has got some serious talent.
Maybe she's planning on defecting from England so she can go to Dr. Drew rehab. And bring along anyone who might ever testify about her and her husband in her luggage.
@tashatakeadive: Drew Barrymore's comeback took over a decade and included several missteps (bad eyebrows, daisiess and flashing David Letterman come to mind). Amy should be afforded more than a couple weeks of detox.
@BDizzy: daisies,
@bowlingfordollars: Eeeeeep! I've had that DVD on my Amazon wishlist for ages. I can't decide if I should get that or Bender's Big Score first.
@JessicaLovejoy: It's really good. You know, on this you can hear 99% of the real lyrics. Must have been before the total spiral. Plus, the documentary that's included is pretty good too.
Is that a recent pic? I like how even detoxing crackheads have better skin than me.
If that is a recent pic, she looks 1000 times better and needs to stay right where she is. Grammys be damned, get healthy lady!
