Here's your get-the-Kleenex-out Christmas story of the year: Ilda Ruth Southey, 85, of Waterford, Wisconsin was thrown a surprise wedding by her 90-year-old husband Francis, during which they renewed their vows in honor of their 65th anniversary. Back on Christmas 1942, Ilda had gone to visit Francis on base to find he had a wedding in the works so they could get hitched before he was shipped off to war. The staff of the Southeys' nursing home recreated the ceremony yesterday, and everyone cried. [CBS News]
