Lay's and Cracker Jack?? I was sure they had those kids on some kind organic, eat food only grown in the region, hippy diet...
That's just Shiloh, they don't care about *her*.
'The Hand That Rocks the Cradle' meets Jackie O?
she's a lil cute chubby wubby thing, isn't she?
@boogieoogieoogie: My thoughts exactly. I just wish Angie was the one eating the junk food. The kid's already bigger than she is.
This is what I don't get. They are supposed to be engaged with the world, anti-corruption, pro-people, yet their two year old child is wearing Nike's.
Like, not to put to fine a point on it, but wouldn't Pax or Maddox be sewing those for peanuts. Ugh!
cuuute best of brad and angie
@Caligula Loves You: Nike kinda sorta became a better company after that whole sweatshop situation. And now they're much much more transparent.
So she actually exists.
I wonder if she can walk, come to think of it, I wonder if Zahara can walk too... she's ALWAYS carrying them! either way, nom, nom, nom...
Now that I look at this again, Angelina looks quite a bit like a vampire that stole some cute blond kid. Hmmm.
She is just the cutest thing. And look at those lips!
either thats one big baby or one little mama
Shouldn't they comb her hair at least? Zahara always has cute pigtails or a pretty afro, but Shiloh never has anything going.
Shiloh looks like she has thin, fine hair that I bet they can't do anything with anyway. It her Daddy's fault.
@perphiction: You can't do much with the wispy blond baby hair. My 2 year old daughter has it. She perpetually looks like a neglected street urchin, despite my best efforts to style her.
The Lays & Cracker Jack diet. Good stuff.
@perphiction: Zahara's hair is always is slap-dash pigtails and I don't think it's cute. I don't think her parents have a clue how to treat or style her hair.
I can't believe she's letting a toddler eat that junk.
I too am surprised by the junk food, although that isn't the first time that kid's been photographed eating potato chips. I kind of love that.
@Trixie from Toronto: Shit, I would have been happy some days if my kids would've eaten potato chips. When you have more than one, it can be tough to consult the food pyramid for every meal.
Why does Ang always look detached and cold w/baby Shiloh?? Like it's a duty/obligation sort of thing. I just don't see that look of detachment when she's with the other children.
@AGreenEyeDevil: I think it's intentional because she doesn't want to seem as if she favors the biological child or the adopted children, so she goes overboard by hardly being seen with her, and when she is seen with her, she looks put out. Oh, and the "blob" comment was just fab.
Also, the paps probably act even worse whenever Shiloh is spotted (especially if Angelina is holding her) which probably doesn't put one in the mood for ear to ear grins.
I adore this family and will never be ashamed. Too cute.
@chamarka: agreed re: Zahara's hair. It's classic non-black mom, black daughter situation; the mom never knows how the hell to do her daughter's hair; it's tragic until at least 16 or 17.
@AGreenEyeDevil: you're projecting.
Thank goodness Shiloh favors Brad; he has more delicate features than Angie. I swear Angie looks like she's in a remake of Mars Attacks!
@bessmarvingirldetective: She's Ange's thinspiration.
Secretly, I've always wished that non-black mom's who have daughter's with black hair were required to take classes at a black beauty salon. It's sad that the girls have to walk around like ragamuffins because mom won't take the time to learn how to style and care for their hair properly. Phew...okay, end of my tangent. I think Angie loves all of her babies...it seems that we're just looking for a reason to create a drama.

It's kind of disconcerting to see Angie holding snack food.
@ulookinatmyjunk: You're probably right.
Anyway, Angie's stupid if she thinks that she has to prefer one child over the other for PR...but I'm sure she doesn't.
shiloh's hair looks like Trump's
@SinisterRouge: If that's true then I've just showed my knee-JERK socialist colours on Jezebel. But from what I know, Nike's do-good-ness is all on the surface. As with many of today's multinational corporations.
MERRY CHRISTMAS, anyway lovelies.
(I'm hoping Santa brings us a revolution and me lots of cute shoes).
You would think the Jolie-Pitts would be against Nike and everything it stands for...
Oh and Shiloh is just not cute to me.
She's totes got Angie's eyes.
She's got perfect China doll lips. Is it wrong that I want to pinch her cheeks and make cooing noises?
@Caligula Loves You: npr said nike is the "greenest" corporation, whatever that's worth.
@J.D.Regent: No projection. She was quoted earlier this year as saying it's SO much more interesting when the children "arrive" with developed personalities, as opposed to having to watch the development process in infancy. I hope everything works out for this family long-term, for the sake of all the children. However, this family dynamic has concerning overtones of dysfunction.
I think that baby's calf is thicker than her mama's ...
Moderation in everything - even in food - don't let a kid eat junk and you're training a fat bingeing adult. My mother never let us eat crap and we went wild when we were liberated. Still paying for it - damn Adele Davis.
@stacyinbean: With crazy paps around you better believe that I'd have my young child in my arms.
@AGreenEyeDevil: Um, because babies are boring. I get her drift. When infants start to form personalities, pre-talking, it's so much fun. When they start to express themselves verbally it's a hoot.
It's not the first time I see one of Angie's kids munching on junk food... Sorry, but I think feeding such crap to a toddler is just bad parenting. You certainly can't forbid candy, treats and a little junk food here and there with older kids, but Shiloh's a baby, it's not like she decides what she eats.
I suppose Angelina's a feeder, i.e. one of those skinny girls who feed junk to everyone around to fatten them up. I know how they behave... I'm one of them, I bake all the time and never eat cake !
Shiloh seems to developing a significant personality. They become interesting around 18 months for the most part. I personally did not care for Zahara until she developed obvious joie de vivre and 'tude. I've liked Maddox since the mohawk. 3-5 year olds are so awesome. It's all downhill from there. Maybe people find their own kiddies interesting. The children I've always volunteered to spend time with are my little cousins in that age group. One is 6 now and she's still the cutest and most fun kid ever.
Zahara was photographed eating Sunchips and crackers on multiple occasions. With the exception of her feeding Pax corn, I don't recall ever seeing any of them eat anything hippy or granola. They are no different than most American kids who live on prepackaged snacks and Kraft Mac n Cheese or fast food.
@anxia: so you're a bad parent? That sounds like something people do to their friends or underweight children, not a kid. Also, making a cake requires effort. Grabbing a bag of chips does not. While both are bad for you, one might be done with malicious intent and it ain't the potato chip grabbing.
From what I can tell, all of her kids are overweight. Shiloh is not even walking. Zahara got pretty big and then presumably, she had some growth spurts. If she's trying to fatten them up, she's doing a bad job.
@nigerienne:
I'm not even a parent ;-) I feed my friends, though ! And I sometimes bake for their kids as well, but I'll never, ever, feed junk food to a kid that young... I've bought the occasional bag of candy or chocolate Easter egg for kids, but I ask their parents if they're ok with it in the first place.
I know that a little junk food won't hurt a kid once in a while... But her kids seem to have snacks all the time. And it's not like she or Brad have to cook for them if they're too busy. I'm sure they've got someone to help in that dept. I feel sorry for single parents with two jobs who can't do better, but seriously, when you're that rich, you can hire someone to feed your brood...
