Remember when we got all excited because the media was actually reporting on the abduction of a woman of color? Well looks like we were prematurely pleased: the abducted woman in question, pregnant attorney Karyn McConnell Hancock (pictured), apparently faked the whole thing. When the police found no evidence to support McConnell's claim that she had been kidnapped, she recanted her story after several hours of questioning. In other missing lady news, Stacy Peterson, whose husband, Drew, almost certainly killed her, told her pastor that Drew admitted to killing his third wife.

When asked why Stacy would stay with her stabby husband after she learned about his murderous ways, pastor Neil Schori told Fox News, "My guess would be out of fear."
