More women under the age of 45 are dying from heart disease, a new study shows. Many of the deaths are due to coronary heart disease, "in which fat and plaque clog the arteries feeding blood to the heart, sometimes called hardening of the arteries. Heart attacks are a common result." Doctors believe the sharp increase in heart disease is caused in part by obesity and high cholesterol.
