Issey Miyake, famous for his experimental methods of pleating, was born in Hiroshima, Japan in 1938. He's been designing since the '70s and shows no sign of stopping. Today in Paris, his show was the perfect example of his curious creativity: Fabric as canvas, as material to be folded, pleated, zipped, woven and belted with a slinky.
